Penelope Morrison Boettiger joined Schafer Thomas Maez PC as an associate attorney in May 2024, having graduated sum laude with a JD from Syracuse Law School, was the recipient of a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was a member of the Travis H.D. Lewin Advocacy Honor Society. Penelope won the 2022 Syracuse Law moot court competition and was the winner of the CALI award in Property. With a diverse academic background, Penelope also holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Stanford University, as well as dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Economy and Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Before entering the legal field, Penelope demonstrated entrepreneurial and leadership skills, founding several successful businesses. She launched Stork Radio, a company specializing in renting and selling fetal dopplers, which became the largest U.S. distributor of Huntleigh Healthcare dopplers. She also founded Mamush International, a non-profit supporting at-risk youth in Ethiopia. Additionally, Penelope spent two years in Senegal as a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps, where she initiated agricultural and community development projects.
Penelope is passionate about providing thoughtful, client-centered legal services and is known for her excellent organizational skills, strong work ethic, and clear communication. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In her spare time, Penelope was an avid ultra-trail runner, having completed races in some of the world’s most challenging deserts, but these days prefers far more reasonable hikes. Penelope is married with 3 children and loves spending time with her family.
