Scott Dillon joined Schafer Thomas Maez PC after passing the Colorado Bar Exam in October 2024. A native of Southern Colorado, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Banking & Finance from Adams State University. He later received his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he focused on elder law, taxation, and trusts and estates.
Scott’s practice areas include estate planning, transfer tax planning, probate administration, business succession planning, and business formation, organization, and maintenance. Through a thoughtful and thorough approach, Scott assists families and business owners in planning for the future—from structuring estates to preparing for business transitions. He emphasizes the importance of proactive planning to preserve and protect wealth, working closely with clients to identify their wealth transfer goals and developing streamlined estate plans that minimize tax exposure.
Scott is admitted to practice law in Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Trust and Estate Section, and the Denver Bar Association.
